Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named the winner of the Premier League Creative Moment of the Month award for September following his remarkable display against Everton.
The Ipswich Town star produced a moment of individual brilliance during their Premier League clash with Everton, beating two defenders with successive nutmegs before almost scoring from inside his own half.
Fatawu took advantage of a loose pass and needed only two touches to send the ball through the legs of Vitalii Mykolenko and James Garner before unleashing a long-range effort that forced goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to make a save.
The Premier League described the moment as:
“Two nutmegs for the price of one.”
The Ghana international’s spectacular piece of skill was selected as September’s best creative moment through a combination of fan votes and an expert panel.
The award marks Fatawu’s first Creative Moment of the Month honour and makes him the seventh player to win the prize since its introduction in January 2026.
The 22-year-old’s latest piece of magic also brought back memories of his stunning strike for Leicester City against Ipswich in December 2025, a goal that was regarded as one of the standout moments of that season.
After moving from Leicester to Ipswich seven months later, Fatawu has continued to make his mark in the Premier League with his flair and attacking ability.
He beat competition from Martin Zubimendi, Emiliano Buendia, João Pedro and Liam Delap to claim the September award.
Fatawu also becomes the first Ipswich Town player to win a Premier League monthly prize since Jens Cajuste in March 2025.
