Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin has earned another accolade in what has been a remarkable season, being named Rayo Vallecano’s Player of the Month for September.
The award was presented to the 26-year-old centre-back on Wednesday at the club’s training grounds, marking his second individual recognition of the season.
Earlier, Mumin was honored with La Liga’s Goal of the Month award for his brilliant strike against CA Osasuna.
Mumin has been a key figure for Vallecano, making 10 appearances and scoring one goal so far this season.
His outstanding form has not only bolstered his club’s defense but also secured him a spot in Ghana’s senior national team, where he featured in two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Considered one of Europe’s emerging defensive talents, Mumin’s reputation continues to grow. He is under contract with the Madrid-based club until June 2026, having joined from Vitória S.C. in September 2022.
