Interim coach Abdulai Gazale has selected his 20-man squad for Asante Kotoko’s upcoming match against Kotoku Royals at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu.

The selection was made by Gazale and his technical team in preparation for Matchday 31 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Unfortunately, Kotoko will be without several key players for the match. Steven Mukwala, Isaac Oppong, Sherrif Mohamed, Eric Zeze, and Charles Owusu are all sidelined due to injuries.

Additionally, defender Mohammed Sherrif will be absent from the squad as he serves a suspension for accumulating yellow cards.

Kotoku Royals, currently occupying the 18th position in the league table, suffered a 2-0 defeat in their previous match against Accra Great Olympics on Matchday 30.

On the other hand, Asante Kotoko secured a 1-1 draw against Bibiani Gold Stars in their last outing at the Baba Yara Stadium. After an impressive 5-1 victory over Kotoku Royals in their initial league encounter, the Porcupine Warriors aim to claim another win and maintain their momentum. Asante Kotoko currently holds the 6th position in the league table with 42 points.

Coach Abdul Gazale and the team are en route to Dawa in the Eastern Region of Ghana, where the match will take place. The following is the full list of the 20-man squad representing Kotoko:

The selected players are:

Goalkeepers:

  • Danlad Ibrahim
  • Moise Poauty

Defenders:

  • Maxwell Agyemang
  • Andrews Appau
  • Augustine Agyapong
  • John Tedeku
  • Sheriff Mohammed
  • Rocky Dwamena
  • Mohammed Alhassan
  • Mubarik Yussif

Midfielders:

  • Richard Boadu [Captain]
  • Patrick Asmah
  • Shadrack Addo
  • Clinton Opoku
  • Justice Blay

Forwards:

  • Solomon Sarfo Taylor
  • Georges Mfegue
  • Richmond Nii Lamptey
  • Enock Morrison
  • Dickson Afoakwa

These players will represent Asante Kotoko as they aim for victory against Kotoku Royals.
