Ghanaian goalkeeper Abdulai Iddrisu has been crowned the Ethiopian Premier League Goalkeeper of the Year following an exceptional 2025/26 campaign with Negelle Arsi FC.
The former Bechem United shot-stopper enjoyed a remarkable season, making 37 league appearances, keeping 17 clean sheets, and conceding just 26 goals. He also registered one assist and received only one yellow card, highlighting his consistency and influence throughout the campaign.
Iddrisu’s latest individual honour adds to an already impressive career. During the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with Bechem United, he recorded 18 clean sheets, establishing himself as one of the country’s most reliable goalkeepers before securing his move abroad.
His outstanding performances in Ethiopia have once again demonstrated his quality, composure, and leadership between the posts, earning him recognition as the league’s best goalkeeper.
