The National Sports Authority has readied the Accra Sports stadium to host a lineup of programs for the Christmas activities after kicking football related activities from the Nations Wembley.
The move as necessitated by the National Sports Authority is a strategic shift towards revenue generation from non-sporting activities. This decision, while capitalizing on the facility’s popularity during the festive season, poses a challenge to the traditional use of the stadium for football matches during this period.
The decision by the Authority has come under attack from the public as to why a facility built for sporting activities has been diverted into fun filled programs.
