Cioaba Aristica has expressed satisfaction with Aduana FC’s hard-fought draw against Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The two sides faced off at the Accra Sports Stadium in a crucial clash as both clubs looked to strengthen their chances of finishing in the league’s top four.
Despite several attempts from both teams, neither side managed to find the breakthrough as the contest ended goalless.
Speaking after the match, the Romanian tactician pointed to fixture congestion and long-distance travel as key factors affecting his players’ energy levels.
“It was a difficult game. This week we have played three games. Two games away and one home match. We have travelled long distances, and some players are tired,” Aristica said.
The Aduana coach, however, was pleased with his team’s ability to avoid defeat under difficult circumstances and believes the point could prove valuable in the race for a top-four finish.
“It’s good that we didn’t lose the game. We have another game, and we will try to finish in the top four,” he added.
With only two matches remaining in the season, Aduana FC currently occupy fourth place on the Ghana Premier League table with 47 points.
The Dormaa-based side will next host Young Apostles FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park as they continue their push for a strong finish to the campaign.
