Aduana Football Club has confirmed the return of Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica as their new head coach, marking a crucial step in their bid to turn around a challenging Ghana Premier League season.
The Dormaa-based club announced the appointment via their official Facebook page on Tuesday, December 10, with a post stating, “Aristica is home. Welcome back, Chioba.”
Cioaba’s appointment comes after Aduana parted ways with Yaw Acheampong following a poor run of form. Under Acheampong’s tenure, the team managed only two wins, six draws, and four losses in 12 league matches, leaving them in 13th place on the table with just 12 points.
The Fire Boys, who were once title contenders, now face the daunting task of climbing the league standings, and Aristica’s experience will be critical to their resurgence.
Aristica’s immediate challenge will be to prepare Aduana FC for their Week 13 fixture against regional rivals Berekum Chelsea. The match offers an opportunity to set the tone for a possible revival under the new coach.
Known for his tactical acumen and familiarity with Ghanaian football, Aristica is expected to restore confidence and competitiveness to the team as they aim to re-enter the title race.
This marks Aristica’s second stint with Aduana FC, having previously managed the club. His return has sparked optimism among fans and the club’s management, who are eager for a turnaround in fortunes.
The task ahead is formidable, but Aduana FC’s decision to reappoint Aristica underscores their belief in his ability to lead them back to success.
