Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Salam Moro has earned a well-deserved promotion to the first team of Danish 1. Division side AC Horsens.
The 18-year-old will join the senior squad in January 2025, following a standout performance for the club’s U19 team.
Moro, who joined AC Horsens from the summer transfer window, has been exceptional at the Langmarksvej-based club, impressing coaches and staff with his maturity and technical skills. A statement from the club confirmed his permanent move to the first team from the start of the new year.
Sporting director Esben Hansen praised Moro’s rapid development and his readiness to step up to the senior side. “Firstly, it speaks volumes about the quality of our scouting system to bring a player into the first team after just six months. Secondly, it reflects the strong environment at the club that allows players from different cultures to integrate so effectively. Despite his age, Abdul Moro is a mature defensive midfielder. He’s a physical presence with an excellent overview of the game, a strong technique, and the ability to distribute the ball effectively. While there is still significant room for growth, he already possesses an exciting skill set that will make a real impact in the first team.”
Moro has made 12 appearances for the AC Horsens U19 team in the 2024/25 U19 Boys League campaign, where he has showcased his talent and earned his place among the senior players.
