Aduana Stars has conveyed to winger Emmanuel Gyamfi that his services are no longer required at the club.
The newly appointed head coach, Yaw Acheampong, personally informed the former Kotoko captain that he does not feature in his plans for the upcoming season and has chosen not to extend Gyamfi’s tenure in Dormaa.
This unforeseen development caught Gyamfi, celebrated for his skills and contributions to Asante Kotoko’s triumphs, off guard.
Although specific reasons were not unveiled, the Aduana Stars management pointed to shifts in the club’s strategic direction and the pursuit of fresh talent as driving forces behind this verdict.
Gyamfi, known for his speed, creativity, and technical expertise, played an indispensable role for Asante Kotoko, notably acclaimed for his instrumental assists and remarkable on-field displays.
This verdict has sparked conjecture regarding Gyamfi’s future, especially considering his prior exit from Asante Kotoko had already piqued interest from potential suitors, both domestic and international.
Emmanuel Gyamfi joined the Dormaa based club from Asante Kotoko. Gyamfi spent five years at Kotoko before his contract termination in 2021.
