Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has cautioned Madagascar will not be an easy opposition for Ghana ahead of their clash on Sunday in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Ghana face Madagascar in their penultimate game of the qualifiers knowing that all three points will be enough to earn them qualification at next year’s AFCON to be staged in Ivory Coast.
Speaking to the media after Tuesday’s training, the 64-year-old urged Ghanaians and the players not to look down on their opponents ahead of Sunday’s clash.
“When we do our homework, when we watch the opposition, there isn’t one opposition that we see that we think this is going to be easy. There isn’t one. Every international team is fighting to do well. The Madagascar team will be no different,” he told the press.
He also hinted that players are geared up and ready for the game.
“Generally, the morale is very good. The concentration is the football match and that is winning a football match,” he noted.
The Black Stars will hold their third training session behind closed doors on Wednesday, June 14 before departing Accra on Thursday.
