Cameroon or Sweden or England? Anthony Elanga ha decided.
Courted by Cameroon for the double confrontation against Algeria on March 25 and 29 as part of the 2022 World Cup play-offs, the young Manchester United crack, Anthony Elanga has chosen Sweden as Samuel Eto’o and FECAFOOT fail to convince the teenage sensation.
His father is a former Cameroonian international and many thought that was going to help Cameroon gets him but Elanga has decided to represent his country of birth.
Rigobert Song the national team coach of Cameroon really wanted to have the Manchester United player but his wish would not materialize.
The reason: “I was born in Sweden, and Sweden means a lot to me. Everyone knows I could have represented Cameroon or England, but for me it has always been Sweden. It is a dream to represent Sweden at this level,” said the young Manchester United youngster.
