The president and bankroller of Skyy FC, Wilson Arthur, has informed Happy Sports that Coach Akakpo Patron will take over from Johnson Smith as the team’s head coach.
Smith had abandoned his post last week before the crucial game against Nations FC, which Skyy FC won 2-0 in Daboase.
Arthur, who is also the FA Cup Committee chairman, suggested that Smith’s loyalty to another club, Nations FC, was the reason for his departure. He expressed his belief that Patron was the best fit for the club’s project and revealed that they were already in talks with him to take over.
“We are in talks with Akakpo Patron to become the new coach. He is going to replace him because he is the best for the project we are doing here”.
Skyy FC has established an eight-point lead at the top of the Division One League table in Zone Two.
