Andy Kumi, the forward for Kotoku Royals, is confident that his team can avoid relegation in the ongoing 2022/23 betpawa GPL season.
Kotoku Royals FC has been making progress in their efforts to avoid relegation, having secured their third consecutive home victory in the League by defeating Bechem United on Sunday.
In the matchday 21 fixture against the Hunters at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, the newly-promoted side recorded a resounding 3-1 victory with goals from Francis, Andy Kumi, and Collins Kofi.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM, Kumi expressed his optimism about Kotoku Royal’s ability to fight against relegation.
Kumi believes that the support of the team’s fans is essential to their success in avoiding relegation, and he stated that the inclusion of himself and other key players to the squad has brought some life into the team. He called on all Kotoku Royals fans to rally their support behind the team and believe that they can avoid relegation.
“What Kotoku needs is the support of our fans. We can escape relegation and the inclusion of myself and other key players to the squad has brought some life into the team” He told Joe Debrah on Happy Sports.
“We need to believe we can escape relegation and I’m calling on all Kotoku Royals fans to rally their support behind us” he added.
Kotoku will next take on Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
