Just like many successful men who once suffered heartbreaks during their struggling days, veteran Ghanaian actor Akwasi Boadi alias Akrobeto has shared a similar story.
Akrobeto who now presents a comic news presentation show on TV shared his life story while urging the youths not to give up in life when the hustle becomes hard.
According to Akrobeto, he suffered his first heart break during his hustle days and it was not because he cheated but because he couldn’t provide financially.
Akrobeto revealed that the inspiration behind his “who knows tomorrow” quote is from his own personal experience. He revealed that his girlfriend who was then living abroad left him for a member of Ghana’s 1991 U-17 FIFA World Cup winning squad because she saw no future with him.
The veteran actor said he was broken by the actions of his girlfriend but picked himself up and today his name has travelled the length and breath of world.
“I used to hunt crabs and sell firewood in the village. I have engaged in several hustles but when the time came for God to lift me… My girlfriend then who was based abroad left me bitterly. She was my first girlfriend. She left because she saw no value in me.At the time, Ghana had just won the Under-17 World Cup. That team had Mohammed Gargo, Yaw Preko, and others.”
“I won’t mention the name of the person but he was a member of that team. At the time they dated, I was nobody so she left me shockingly and bitterly. But today, I’m known everywhere in the world. That is the story behind nobody knows tomorrow, ” Akrobeto said
