The Portuguese gaffer was invited as a panelist for the Egyptian Super Cup between Al Ahly and Zamalek in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.
Speaking ahead of the game, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid gaffer praised Al Ahly and compared them to the legendary Spanish club Real Madrid.
“Al Ahly considers themselves as Real Madrid as they compete in all championships. We always see them at the FIFA Club World Cup,” Mourinho said.
“They had Aboutrika who in my opinion was a great player and the best. I love him a lot,” added Mourinho.
Mohammed Aboutrika is a legend in the African game and it is very unsurprising to hear Jose Mourinho praising him.
Jose Mourinho declared his love for Mohammed Aboutrika who was a workaholic and unplayable in his playing days for Egypt and Al Ahly.
