Veteran Ghanaian forward Albert Adomah produced a sensational performance to inspire Walsall FC to a convincing 3–0 victory over Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road in the English League Two.
The 38-year-old attacker proved age is no barrier, scoring twice and providing an assist to help Walsall secure their first win in four matches, while also giving interim manager Darren Byfield a perfect start.
Adomah wasted little time making his mark on the game, opening the scoring just four minutes after kickoff. The experienced winger calmly finished from close range after meeting a well-delivered cross from Charlie Lakin.
Walsall had the chance to extend their lead shortly afterwards, but Daniel Kanu failed to convert from the penalty spot, allowing Crewe a brief moment of relief.
Despite the missed opportunity, the visitors remained in control and continued to create chances. Adomah later turned provider in the 83rd minute, delivering a precise pass that allowed Aaron Presley to double Walsall’s advantage.
The Ghanaian forward then capped an outstanding individual display by scoring his second goal deep into stoppage time, sealing an emphatic win for the visitors.
Adomah’s contribution takes his tally to eight goal involvements in 33 league appearances this season, underlining his continued importance to Walsall despite being one of the most experienced players in the division.
