Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku is elated with his first preseason match.
Djiku played 45 minutes as Strasbourg defeated FC Basel by a goal to nothing over the weekend and Djiku is happy with the output of his side.
“I am pleased with our performance in our first preseason game.” Djiku told Alsace.
“The philosophy of our coach is that we start to play from the back and it is very important, We are adapting to it.”
Djiku was a pillar at the back for the Ligue 1 side and was nominated for the club’s player of the season.
He is being courted by a host of clubs including Stade Rennes.
