It is estimated that over 3,000 people joined together to demonstrate against the Ghana Football Association and the Sports Ministry on 14th February 2024.
Ghana football has been in shambles for quite a long time and the leaders aren’t ready to rescue the poor state of it.
Ace Sports journalists organised the demonstration as many people including old women and young girls joined.
Veteran football administrator, Alhaji Karim Grunsah, the founder and bankroller of Kumasi-based King Faisal Babes was in attendance and he expressed his delight to see numerous people demonstrate against Kurt Okraku’s administration.
It has been disclosed by veteran sports journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah that Alhaji Grunsah’s money was stolen during the demonstration.
“Alhaji Grunzah came clad in all-white while we were in black. His reason was that while we were frustrated, he was happy with our decision to register our frustrations and call the authorities to order. I was having a conversation with him after the demonstration, and he told me someone had stolen his money. He said that while the young men were praising him, some dipped their hands into his pocket and picked up the money,” Kwaku Yeboah said.
Alhaji Grunsah was interviewed on so many occasions during the ‘Save Ghana Football’ demonstration. It remains unclear the very person who took advantage of the many interviews the veteran football administrator granted to steal his money.
