New Hearts of Oak defender Ali Mohammed has expressed his joy and determination after sealing a two-year move to the Accra-based giants from Vision FC.
The 23-year-old centre-back was unveiled by the club earlier this week and is expected to play a key role in strengthening the Phobians’ defence ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking in his first interview, Ali shared his excitement about joining the team he has long admired.
“Joining this great club is a dream come true,” he said. “I’ve always followed Hearts of Oak because of my ‘brother’ Kelvin. I admire the energy and passion in the team. I’m here to work hard, learn, and help the team achieve great things.”
Hearts of Oak confirmed that the player had been monitored closely by new head coach Didi Dramani, who was impressed with Ali’s development and potential during his time at Vision FC.
“Ali Mohammed’s arrival adds depth and energy to our backline as we prepare for a fresh start under Coach Didi Dramani,” the club said in an official statement.
Ali’s signing is part of Hearts’ rebuilding efforts following a challenging season, and fans will be hoping his youthful energy and defensive stability will boost the club’s campaign in both domestic and continental competitions.
