Antoine Semenyo is brimming with confidence after winning the first major trophy of his career, following Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

The Ghana forward impressed on the right side of City’s attack, using his pace and direct running to trouble the Arsenal defence throughout the contest. His performance played a key role in helping Pep Guardiola’s side secure yet another trophy.

Reflecting on the milestone, Semenyo expressed his excitement and ambition for more success, describing the triumph as just the beginning. He also highlighted the importance of executing the team’s game plan, which he believes was crucial to overcoming Arsenal.

“First of many! I’m excited, I’m happy. And many more to come!. if you have the game plan right you’ll win. We did that today. We’re proud and happy. I have that freedom to do what I want, get at defenders, and cause problems. That’s what I did today.”Games

The Black Stars attacker further noted that the victory could provide a major confidence boost ahead of a potentially decisive Premier League clash between the two sides later in April. With Arsenal currently holding a nine-point lead at the top—albeit with City having a game in hand—Semenyo remains optimistic about their chances of closing the gap.

“I think this win over Arsenal-gives us a boost and confidence coming back from the international break and hopefully catching up,” Semenyo said.

Buoyed by his new-found success and freedom on the pitch, Semenyo is now determined to build on this achievement and help City push for more silverware before the end of the season.
