Black Stars right-back Seidu Alidu, has reacted to his team’s victory against Lyon in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday 14th May, 2023.
A brace from French-born striker of Ghanaian descent Grejohn Kyei ensured Clermont Foot defeated Lyon the thrilling clash.
Clermont Foot endured a challenging start, conceding a goal after 22 minutes.
Olympic Lyon, the away team, equalized through Alexandre Lacazette in the 22nd minute to take the lead.
Undeterred, Clermont Foot responded swiftly. Just three minutes later, Grejohn Kyei seized an opportunity and calmly scored to restore parity for his team.
In the second half, the forward struck again in the 64th minute, securing a 2-1 victory for Clermont Foot.
With his goal in this match, Grejohn Kyei has now amassed nine goals and three assists in 34 appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season.
