Amed Toure encouraged by Kotoko’s future after Ogum’s exit

Former Asante Kotoko striker Amed Simba Toure has shared his positive outlook on the club’s future following the departure of head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Reacting to the news on Facebook, Toure posted, “Am very happy because very soon fabulous will comeback strongly,” expressing his confidence that the team will bounce back soon after a difficult period.

Toure’s message was attached to a farewell graphic paying tribute to Prosper Narteh Ogum, who was recently sacked by the club after a disappointing run in the Ghana Premier League. Ogum, who guided the Porcupine Warriors to a league title in the 2021/22 season, returned for a second spell but failed to reach the same heights, leading to the club’s decision to let him go.

With Abdul-Karim Zito now stepping in as interim coach, many Kotoko supporters are hopeful that the change in leadership will spark a late-season revival. The club has six matches left to improve their position in the league.

Toure, a beloved figure among Kotoko fans, continues to show his support for the club. His encouraging words have been welcomed by many supporters who are eager to see the team return to winning ways under new guidance.
