Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the reigning Ghanaian champions, have arrived in Benin City, Nigeria, in preparation for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifiers.
The team commenced their journey from Accra in the early hours of Tuesday, August 15, flying with African World Airlines to Lagos before proceeding to their final destination, Benin City.
The contingent consists of thirty-five individuals, including players, team officials, and a representative from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Their presence marks their second attempt to secure a spot in the main Champions League competition.
The tournament is set to kick off on Friday, August 18, 2023, with the ultimate victor earning the sole CAF Women’s Champions League slot allocated to WAFU Zone B.
