Dickson Afoakwah, a former forward of Asante Kotoko, has conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the club’s fans in the wake of his departure from the Porcupines.
The club officially announced Afoakwah’s exit on Wednesday, extending their gratitude for his contributions during his two-year tenure with the team.
In 2021, the 25-year-old joined the Reds as a free agent, making a significant impression on the technical staff during a successful trial. His performance led to a three-year contract offer aimed at revitalizing his career.
However, despite the initial promise, Afoakwah struggled to secure a consistent spot in the team’s lineup, ultimately resulting in his departure through mutual agreement.
Afoakwah played a part in assisting the Ghanaian giants in breaking their trophy drought during the 2021/22 season.
