Reading captain, Andy Yiadom expressed his satisfaction following Reading’s victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Reading beat Middlesbrough 1-0 during an English championship match thanks to a good strike from Tyrese Fornah in the first half.
Yiadom, who led the team as captain, stated on the Reading FC website that the team put in a good. shift.
“It was a really good win, and everyone just stuck together really,” said Yiadom.
“The boys that came in, Hutchy did extremely well, he rallied the troops and was really good. It was a great effort, Dean was brilliant today, he came in and kept a clean sheet and when I looked back, I just knew the goal was safe.”
“Even John Clarke, he was good off the bench today and did an amazing block. Today was good, me being out at wing back was something different and rallying the troops forward and getting the three points, that’s all that matters really.”
“We are looking the part, there is still a long way to go and brick by brick we’ll go in the right direction together,” he added.
Yiadom was named captain of the side before the season started. Reading are currently third on the log.
