Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has earned a spot in the English Premier League Team of the Week after his standout performance against Manchester City last Saturday, where he was awarded Man of the Match.
The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in helping Bournemouth secure a 2-1 victory at Vitality Park, marking the end of Manchester City’s unbeaten run in the Premier League for 2024. Semenyo scored one of the goals and proved to be a constant threat to City’s defenders, particularly Kyle Walker, utilizing his speed and skill to outmaneuver him.
Joining Semenyo in Troy Deeney’s BBC Team of Week 10 are Bournemouth teammates Adam Smith and Lewis Cook. The team also features Nigeria’s Ola Aina from Nottingham Forest, Semenyo’s former teammate Dominic Solanke of Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon.
Additionally, Southampton players Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Radu Dragusin from Tottenham, Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, and Joao Gomes of Wolves have also been recognized in the lineup.
Semenyo has had a strong season, scoring four goals in ten Premier League matches.
