Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has opened up on the shin injury he suffered getting to the end of the 2022/23 season.
The former Bristol City reveals the last couple of months have not been easy as he had to go through a surgery that made his miss couple of games towards the end of the season.
Semenyo also missed the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Madagascar in June.
Speaking after scoring against Liverpool in Bournemouth’s 3-1 defeat, the hardworking attacker said working hard to get into the starting lineup was the beginning.
“It’s been tough the last couple of months with the shin injury,” he told the Daily Ech.
“But I just had to be strong mentally and physically and get myself ready to the beast I am! I’ve done well enough to get a start, so I just need to keep going and keep building myself,” He concluded.
