English EFL Championship club Rotherham United have signed Ghanaian winger Arvin Appiah on a season-long loan from Spanish second division side Almeria.

”Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the season-long loan capture of UD Almeria winger Arvin Appiah, subject to ratification from the EFL, FA and international clearance.” the club announced on Friday 25th Auguest, 2023.
Appiah went through the youth ranks at Nottingham Forest, making his professional bow in October 2018 in a League Cup tie against Burton Albion, getting himself on the scoresheet in a 3-2 defeat.
The Amsterdam-born operator appeared a further six times for Forest and attracted interest from across the globe, including from Spanish side Almeria, who snapped him up for a multi-million move in the summer of 2019.
The 22-year-old has represented England from U16 to U19 level and even featured at the AESSEAL New York Stadium for the Three Lions’ U17 side in a victory over Germany.
Despite featuring for England at the youth levels, Appiah who was born to Ghanaian parents, can represent Ghana at the senior national level in future.
