Ghana international Antoine Semenyo secured the second major trophy of his career after inspiring Manchester City FC to a narrow 1-0 victory over Chelsea FC in the 2025/26 English FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
The Black Stars forward delivered a decisive performance in the high-stakes encounter, scoring the only goal of the game to help City lift another domestic title.
Semenyo, who joined the Premier League champions from AFC Bournemouth during the January transfer window, started and played the full match as Pep Guardiola’s side edged a tightly contested final on Saturday afternoon.
After an intense opening half ended goalless, the Ghanaian attacker stepped up in the second period to produce the moment that separated the two sides.
In the 72nd minute, Semenyo calmly slotted home the winning goal to hand Manchester City the FA Cup crown and cap another impressive outing since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium.
The triumph marks Semenyo’s second piece of silverware since joining City, having already celebrated Carabao Cup success earlier in the campaign.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable season overall, following an outstanding first half of the campaign at Bournemouth where his performances established him as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attacking players.
His continued rise has also earned him recognition among the league’s elite performers, with the Ghanaian attacker receiving a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
