Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes that his team will continue to improve with Thomas Partey in the lineup.
The Ghanaian international played a key role in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
Goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka in each half secured the win for the Gunners at home.
After the match, Arteta acknowledged some challenges in the second half but expressed confidence that the team would improve with the 31-year-old midfielder’s presence.
“I think we had certain problems,” Arteta admitted. “Especially in the second half. It’s part of the game. There are things we can do better to have more security. We will be better.”
Partey, the Black Stars captain, was instrumental in the match, creating four chances and completing 89% of his passes.
As Arsenal prepare for their upcoming match against Aston Villa at Villa Park next weekend, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder will be eager to retain his spot in the starting lineup.
