Arsenal Manager Thomas Partey Mikel Arteta, has lauded the midfielder’s performance in the Gunners Premier League 2-0 over Leicester City over the weekend.

The Ghanaian international grabbed his second league goal of the season for Arsenal as they beat Leicester City FC at the Emirates stadium on Sunday

The Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder rose highest in the box to power home the game’s opening goal following a corner kick from Gabriel Marinelli inside 11 minutes with a bullet header.

The Ghanaian came close again in the first half as he hit the upright with a delightful strike from the edge of the box.

Partey in the game controlled the midfield and stamped his authority in the game with eye-catching display and sleek passing throughout the match.

Aaron Ramsdale, the Arsenal goalkeeper produced two great saves in the match to prevent the Gunners from conceding a goal.

French man Alaxander Lacazette scored a second half penalty to secure all three points for the Gunners who are pushing for UEFA Champions League spot to win 2-0.

“Yeah and he almost scored shooting when he hit the crossbar. He was involved in both goals – the header he scored and the penalty as well and then the other action where he had a shot. You can see he was player of the month last month and he’s come a long way,” Arteta said.

”He has the consistency of the minutes, he understands what we want much better, I think his cohesion and understanding with the players is getting better and better. Now it’s about consistency and keeping doing it.” He added.

Partey, 21 has played 21 games in the 2021-22 English Premier League and has two goals and one assist to his name for the Red and Whites.
