Charlotte FC have signed Ghanaian midfielder Derrick Jones on a three-year deal.
Jones, 25, joins Charlotte FC from Dynamo Houston for a fee of $50,000 with his former club entitled to 20% of any future transfer fee outside of Major League Soccer.
Jones played 20 matches and started 14 for Houston in 2021 and was one if their outstanding players..
Born in Bantama in Kumasi, joins moved to US at an early age and had previously also played for Nashville SC and the Philadelphia Union.
The 6 feet 4 inches central midfielder has represented US at under 20 World Cup and 23 levels but still eligible to feature for Ghana.
