Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey says Arsenal need to dig deep to ensure they win their games in the Premier League as they continue the quest to win their first title in a long while.
The Gunners were 3-0 winners over Fulham away from home this weekend, restoring their five-point lead at the top of the table following Manchester City’s slim win over Crystal Palace earlier on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side, having played before Arsenal, closed the gap to three with Erling Haaland scoring the only goal against Palace. However, Partey and his teammates ensured their lead at the summit of the league table was intact as they thumped Fulham.
Speaking after the game, Partey touched on the responsibility the players have until the end of the season to ensure they are champions.
“I think the team is really working hard. We go game after game and every game is important for us, trying to give our best and try to win every game as we have done,” he told beIN SPORTS.
“At the end, we need to earn the right to win and the team is really working hard to be able to win the games.”
Partey was once again at the heart of everything for Arsenal as they became the first Premier League side to win six away London derbies without conceding a goal.
