Ghana international Thomas Partey says he feels happy to be compared to Manchester United’s Casemiro although all he thinks about is helping Arsenal win the league title.
The Arsenal midfielder has been in fine form this season as his side chase for a first league title in over a decade.
After overcoming initial injury concerns which saw his performances deep in his first season at Arsenal, the defensive midfielder has been on a great run of form this campaign with Arsenal leading the Premier League table.
His performances have developed conversation among football fans who continue to compare him to Casemiro but the Ghanaian is only “happy” to be in the same debate as the Brazilian.
“I have to concentrate on my work. I am really happy to be at least seen by some people and I think the most important thing is to keep helping the team, which is the mentality I have and also to work on myself,” he told beIN SPORTS.
Partey was heavily involved over the weekend as well as Arsenal commanded a 3-0 win away from home in the Premier League while Casemiro picked a red card in United’s stalemate against Southampton.
