Head coach of AS Monaco, Adi Hutter, has highlighted the importance players with English Premier League experience in his side will play in the team’s upcoming UEFA Champions League tie.
Monaco take on Arsenal on Wednesday, December 11 at 20:00 GMT at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal and Monaco ranked 10th and 11th respectively in the Champions League standings.
Speaking in a pre-game presser, Hutter pointed to former EPL players in his squad like Salisu, Thilo Kehrer and Takumi Minamino who are likely to be leaned heavily on to deal with Arsenal’s threat.
“We have with us Thilo (Kehrer) and Mohammed (Salisu), who know the Premier League well, as does Takumi Minamino We also have a very good mix in our squad between these more experienced players and our young talents.”
The Black Stars defender has made three appearances in the 2024-2025 season and scored in Monaco’s 2-2 draw with Dinamo Zagreb but has missed two games in the competition due to a hamstring injury.
He is likely to play against fellow Black Stars player Thomas Partey.
