Ghanaian winger Alfie Agyemang delivered a scintillating performance in Falkirk’s dominant 3-0 victory over Raith Rovers on Saturday, earning him a well-deserved spot in Sofascore’s Scottish Championship Team of the Week.
His contributions were instrumental as Falkirk claimed an important win, edging ahead in the head-to-head record with 13 victories to Raith’s 11.
Agyemang made an immediate impact, finding the net in the 6th minute. Latching onto a clever pass from Calvin Miller, the 24-year-old winger calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper, giving Falkirk an early lead. Raith Rovers struggled to mount a response, as Falkirk’s disciplined defense neutralized their attacking threats.
In the second half, Agyemang showcased his brilliance once again. In the 57th minute, he received a pass from Brad Spencer and unleashed a stunning strike from outside the box that flew into the bottom right corner, sending the home fans into raptures.
Falkirk sealed the win just nine minutes later when Raith defender Kai Montagu inadvertently turned a cross into his own net, capping a frustrating day for the visitors.
Agyemang’s brace brought his season tally to three goals in 15 appearances, highlighting his growing influence in the team. Falkirk will aim to carry this momentum into their next fixture against Ayr United on December 14th.
