Asante Kotoko played out a 1-1 stalemate with Karela United FC in their Ghana Premier League round 22 game on Thursday evening at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The home team played the game with 10 men as their captain Abdul Ganiu was sent off after a foul on Kelvin Andoh in the first half.
Andoh scored the opening goal of the match to put the away team 1-0 up with a close range header following a cross from a corner kick.
Kotoko didn’t look like a team playing with 10-men as striker Frank Mbella equalized to make it 1-1 before the half time whistle.
This was the Cameroonian’s 15th goal in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Kotoko were the better side in the second half but were unable to find the all important goal as the game ended 1-1.
Kotoko are still leading the Ghana Premier League with 46th points and eight points clear at the top.
