Former Bibiani Goldstars coach Michael Osei has expressed his conviction that Asante Kotoko earned their victory against Hearts of Oak in a fiercely contested match.
The clash between the two most prestigious clubs in the country unfolded at the Baba Yara Stadium during week 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
In this intense encounter, Kotoko, playing as the away team against Hearts of Oak, emerged triumphant. Despite Hearts of Oak taking an early lead with a goal from Linda Mtange, Isaac Oppong equalized for Kotoko just before the halftime whistle.
A standout performance came from Uganda forward Steven Mukwala, who netted a crucial brace in the second half, ultimately securing the victory for Kotoko. Martin Karikari managed to reduce the deficit for the Phobians in the final minutes of the game.
