Ghanaian footballer Emmanuel Boateng expressed his satisfaction following a remarkable performance that contributed to Rio Ave securing a 2-2 draw against Arouca in the Portuguese top-flight.

Boateng, a former Black Stars forward, showcased his skills throughout the entire match, starting and playing with full intensity.

Boateng’s impactful performance included both scoring and providing an assist, pivotal in guiding his team to the draw during the intense clash at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca.

Post-match, Boateng took to social media, expressing gratitude and humility, stating, “Alhamdulillah +1” on X, showcasing his appreciation for the team’s collective effort.

Rio Ave swiftly seized an early lead, breaking the deadlock just five minutes into the game with a goal from Aderllan Santos, skillfully set up by Boateng himself.

The Ghanaian forward then doubled the advantage for the visitors, netting another goal in the 29th minute, allowing them to head into halftime with a comfortable two-goal lead.

However, despite Rio Ave’s promising start, they relinquished their advantage as Arouca mounted a comeback. Goals from Cristo González and Jason enabled the hosts to level the score, forcing the match to end in a 2-2 draw on their home turf.

Emmanuel Boateng’s performance statistics for the season further highlight his impact, having scored two goals and provided two assists in the eight games he has played for Rio Ave thus far. His contributions on the field continue to play a crucial role in the team’s overall performance.
