Vision FC coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has commended Asante Kotoko for their disciplined approach following a preseason friendly where the Porcupine Warriors defeated the newcomers 2-1.
In the friendly match on Sunday, Asante Kotoko’s striker Albert Amoah scored twice to secure the victory.
Agyemang highlighted Kotoko’s tactical organization, stating, “Asante Kotoko is very discipline in terms of organization. They don’t press high but wait for spaces in opponent team and utilize it. They did it to us in the first half but I realized it and close that space in the second half”
He continued, “Kotoko were able to break out lines. On a whole, if they are a bit potent in attack next season, I think they can damage a lot of teams” he said after the game.
Asante Kotoko, who finished sixth in the Ghana Premier League last season, made significant changes during the off-season, releasing over 20 players and bringing in 12 new signings.
The new Ghana Premier League season is set to kick off on September 6, 2024, with Asante Kotoko slated to face Karela United in their opening match.
