David Ocloo, the assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, praised his players for securing a hard-earned point against Bechem United.
In the lead-up to the matchday 24 games at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, the Porcupine Warriors were determined to secure a victory after having won just one game in their last six matches.
However, the game ended in a goalless draw, which relieved some of the pressure on the technical team.
Speaking after the match, Ocloo expressed satisfaction with his players’ ability to avoid another loss by earning a hard-fought point.
“To me, in our previous games, we played very well but we couldn’t score. To me, in the previous games, we played better than this…but in this game, the only difference is that they (the players) were very disciplined defensively,” he said.
“In this particular match, we did not create enough chances, but the most important thing is that we earned a point here,” he added.
Kotoko currently occupies the 8th position on the Premier League table with 33 points and will host Nsoatreman FC at the Bara Stadium on Thursday, with the kick-off scheduled at 18:00GMT.
