Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has refuted claims that defensive midfielder Samuel Tenadu will leave the club during the January transfer window.
Speaking after Kotoko’s 2-1 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars in Week 15 of the Ghana Premier League, Ogum dismissed the reports as baseless rumors.
“Has anybody told you he’s leaving? Let the speculations rest. Have you officially heard from Kotoko’s media team that he’s leaving? He’s not going anywhere. He’s with us,” Ogum clarified. “Whoever wrote that should retract—it’s false.”
The coach reaffirmed that Tenadu will remain with the squad for the entire season, emphasizing his importance to the team’s plans.
Ogum has now shifted his focus to Kotoko’s upcoming Week 16 clash against Medeama SC at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa. The match is scheduled for Sunday, January 5, as Kotoko looks to maintain their momentum in the league.
