Hearts of Oak defender Michael Ampadu has officially reconciled with head coach Aboubakar Ouattara and will rejoin the team’s training on Monday as they prepare for the rest of the season.
The reconciliation follows a meeting at Ouattara’s residence, where Ampadu, accompanied by team captain Benjamin Asare and vice-captain Osei Asibey, offered an unreserved apology for past differences. This gesture highlights the club’s emphasis on unity and teamwork.
Ampadu expressed his appreciation to the club’s Executive Board Chairman, His Royal Highness Togbe Afede XIV, for playing a pivotal role in resolving the conflict.
Commenting on the reconciliation, Ouattara stated:
“In the spirit of the New Year, my birthday, and our recent victory, this is the perfect time to let go of the past. As a father figure to the squad, I believe we must move forward united and focused on achieving our goals.”
Ampadu also expressed his gratitude and commitment:
“I’m happy to have reconciled with Coach Ouattara. My heartfelt thanks go to the club’s president for his guidance and my teammates for their support. I’m committed to giving my all and fighting for the badge as we move forward together.”
This resolution marks a crucial step in strengthening the team’s cohesion ahead of their upcoming challenges.
