Asante Kotoko duo Albert Amoah and Justice Blay have been included in the Best XI of the first round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Striker Amoah and midfield stalwart Blay earned their spots after delivering standout performances, helping Kotoko recover from early struggles to maintain competitiveness in the league.
Joining Blay in midfield is Hearts of Oak’s Hussein Mohammed, forming a strong partnership in the middle of the park.
The Best XI also features Heart of Lions’ goalkeeper Lawrence Osei, whose stellar displays earned him the nod between the posts. The defensive lineup includes William Denkyi, Ebenezer Abban, Razak Simpson, and Kamaradini Mamudu, providing a solid backline.
Upfront, Albert Amoah pairs with the league’s top scorer Faisal Charwetey, whose consistent goal-scoring form has made him a frontrunner for the goal king title.

As the league enters its second round next weekend, these standout players are expected to play pivotal roles for their respective clubs. The title race remains wide open, with as many as six teams in contention for the coveted trophy.
