Rocky Dwamena and Steven Mukwala Dese, both from Asante Kotoko, will be back in action for the upcoming clash against Bibiani Goldstars on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
The duo was unavailable for Asante Kotoko’s league opener against Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last weekend due to personal reasons.
Asante Kotoko felt the absence of Dwamena and Mukwala Dese in their game against Hearts of Lions, where they were held to a goalless draw in front of over six thousand supporters.
However, Dwamena and Mukwala Dese have actively participated in Asante Kotoko’s training sessions throughout this week and will be ready for the trip to Bibiani this weekend.
Their return provides a significant boost to the Asante Kotoko squad and offers coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum plenty of options ahead of the Bibiani Goldstars fixture at the challenging Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
Asante Kotoko is expected to seek a victory against Bibiani Goldstars at Dun’s Park to bounce back from the draw against Hearts of Lions last weekend.
Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Justice Blay will remain sidelined due to an injury sustained during the team’s pre-season campaign.
