Julius Ofori Ziggy, the new addition to Asante Kotoko’s forward lineup, expressed his feelings about joining the club in an interview with the team’s media.
The 24-year-old signed with Asante Kotoko on a free transfer after his contract with Kelantan United in the Malaysia Super League expired.
In the interview, Ziggy revealed that Asante Kotoko has held a special place in his heart since childhood and has always been a team he admired. He emphasized that playing for Asante Kotoko is a dream come true for him.
Born in Amakom, Ziggy shared his excitement about playing for a club that has been so close to him as a Kumasi native.
“Absolutely, Asante Kotoko is a very big team, and like I said, I grew up in Amakom. Kotoko is right at my doorstep and is a big team. Every player wants to play for such a big team,” Ziggy said.
“I have always loved it, and it has always been in my heart since my infancy.”
Julius Ofori Ziggy made his debut for Asante Kotoko in a goalless draw against newly promoted Kpando Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday. Asante Kotoko is currently in intense training as they prepare to face Bibiani Goldstars this weekend at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
