Asante Kotoko have invited right-back Philip Nii Kojo Sackey to their Adako Jachie training facility for trials as they look to reinforce their defensive lineup.
The decision comes in response to an injury sustained by Emmanuel Kotei, leaving Lord Amoah as the club’s sole option in the right-back position.
Sackey, formerly of Great Olympics, is undergoing evaluation by the technical team, who will determine whether to offer him a contract.
In addition to Sackey, the Porcupine Warriors are actively scouting other potential recruits, including Richard Wiafe, to further bolster their squad depth.
Kotoko have already made key signings during the January transfer window, securing forward Kwame Opoku and Sampson Eduku as they intensify efforts to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title.
