Asante Kotoko are in advanced negotiations to secure a January transfer move for Attram De Visser midfielder Hafiz Ibrahim, as the club looks to strengthen their squad for the second half of the Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors are keen to reinforce their midfield and have identified Ibrahim, a former U-23 Ghana international, as a key target. The defensive midfielder has been in outstanding form for Attram De Visser and could provide much-needed depth to Kotoko’s lineup.
Ibrahim was part of the Kotoko contingent that traveled to the United States for a friendly match against DC United last month, where he showcased his skills on the international stage. His solid performances in both the friendly and the domestic league have caught the eye of the Kumasi-based club.
The Atebubu-born midfielder is also part of the 32-player squad selected by Black Galaxies head coach Didi Dramani for screening ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
Currently sitting 7th in the Ghana Premier League standings with 18 points from 12 matches, Asante Kotoko are eager to bolster their ranks in the January transfer window to improve their position and mount a stronger challenge in the second half of the season.
