Defender Maxwell Agyemang appears poised to extend his professional journey in Europe following his imminent departure from Asante Kotoko.
The centre-back is currently engaged in discussions with undisclosed clubs from Belgium and Russia regarding a potential transfer, as reported by Ghanasportspage.com.
Agyemang finds himself among a group of eleven players who have been advised to seek new opportunities by Asante Kotoko’s new technical team.
Among the mentioned players are former Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan, Ernest Osei Opoku, Evans Adomako, Clinton Opoku, Charles Owusu, Dickson Afoakwa, and Andrews Kwadwo Appau.
Maxwell Agyemang initially joined the ranks of the Porcupine Warriors in 2021, transitioning from Division One side Wamanfo Mighty Royals under a three-year agreement.
Throughout his tenure, Agyemang showcased his prowess with a string of commanding performances at the heart of Kotoko’s defensive line.
Notably, the 27-year-old contributed to Kotoko’s success in clinching the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title under the guidance of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Despite having one year remaining on his contract with the club, Agyemang has been encouraged to embark on a new chapter in his professional journey.
