In response to a directive from His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Manhyia Palace, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has announced a restructuring of its Interim Management Committee (IMC).
The club disclosed in a statement on November 25, 2024, that Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum will no longer be part of the IMC. This decision aims to enable Dr. Ogum to concentrate fully on his primary position as Head Coach, with a focus on elevating the team to new heights and achieving its sporting goals.
The statement underlined, “This strategic realignment underscores our dedication to optimizing the club’s operations and aligning with Manhyia’s vision. Dr. Ogum will continue to lead the team on the field, while the IMC will provide crucial leadership and administrative support.”
Asante Kotoko reiterated its commitment to excellence and thanked supporters for their unwavering support during this transitional phase.
The club urged fans to stand together in pursuit of the shared goal of securing long-term success for Asante Kotoko.
The changes come at a time when the club is undergoing strategic adjustments to position itself for long-term success both on and off the pitch.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered four consecutive defeats before winning 2-0 against Aduana Stars in Dormaa on matchday 11 in the new Premier League season.
